Nyva Pereyaslavshchyny, JV Ltd

At the moment joint British-Ukrainian enterprise “Nyva Pereyaslavshchyny” is one of the biggest and most effective pig farms in Ukraine. The construction of the farm started in summer, 2005, while in May, 2006, first piglets were born. The head of the company Oleksanr Mostipan has traveled a lot getting to know about the latest technologies in pig industry and embodied his experience and vision in the business.
Strict sanitary control and high-quality feeds without any additives (only cereals and 3% of vitamins and minerals) allow the gaining of high quality meat. That’s why Kharkiv and Kremenchuk meat-plants, as well as “Balla” and “Velyka Kushenya” supermarket chains are constant clients of the enterprise. Besides, the company has its own processing facilities and a net of company shops, where sausage and packed meat under the trade mark “Piatachok” (“Pig’s Snout”).
The company traditionally brings genetic material from Danbred—the first batch of 650 gilts came in December, 2005. Now the enterprise has 4,250 sows and one of the best production indicators not only for Ukraine, but for Denmark too. Almost all equipment at farms is also made in Denmark: constant comfortable temperature without drafts thanks to heating systems of “Danfos” company, system of ventilation from “Skov”, excellent control and management of the herd due to “AgroSoft” computer program. Though, the managers of the enterprise have no doubts that good genetics and modern equipment are not the guarantee of high results, since the main thing for such a compound is its personnel.
