The Interprofessional Association for Belgian Meat (IVB), mandated by the Flemish Government, is taking a major step toward modernizing data exchange and increasing transparency in the meat sector. From now on, the organisation will automatically send slaughter results to most Belgian pig and cattle producers and provide access to new digital tools for real-time data analysis.

Email distribution of slaughter results has existed for years, but only for farmers who had manually registered. Starting November 13, 2025, IVB will send these emails to all farmers for whom an email address is available. As a result, about 95% of active Belgian pig producers will receive official slaughter data daily without having to take any action.

To strengthen digital support for the sector, IVB has launched an updated website featuring advanced analytical tools. Farmers can:

  • view interactive dashboards,
  • compare results across different slaughter batches,
  • quickly evaluate their position within the sector,
  • perform calculations with minimal data input.

The platform is available to both Flemish and Walloon pig and cattle producers.

Through these initiatives, IVB is reinforcing its role as an interprofessional coordinator within Belgium’s meat industry. Automated data exchange, expanded access to information, and modern digital solutions are helping farmers improve management efficiency and strengthen their competitive position on the market.
