Participants will work with practical case studies related to antibiotic use in backyard farming, common mistakes in animal treatment, and communication approaches for raising awareness among local residents about the responsible use of antimicrobials.
Organisers emphasize that territorial communities can become one of the key elements in combating antimicrobial resistance, as they maintain direct contact with local populations and can effectively disseminate practical knowledge at the community level.
At the same time, a separate training track in Odesa will focus on the work of specialists from the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection. Participants will discuss state control of veterinary medicinal products, requirements of the new veterinary legislation, monitoring of antibiotic use, and practical aspects of AMR prevention.
The training sessions for territorial communities will be useful for:
- representatives of territorial communities;
- village and settlement elders;
- employees of the social and educational sectors;
- local civil society organisations;
- anyone working directly with residents in local communities.
Participation in the events is free of charge, but the number of places is limited.
