On May 27, russian forces shelled the village of Lukniv in the Korop community of Chernihiv region, killing a pig farm employee and seriously injuring a tractor driver working for a local agricultural enterprise. The information was reported by Oleksandr Seliverstov, head of the Novhorod-Siverskyi District Military Administration.

According to him, the attack on the village occurred between 08:10 and 08:15. Specialists are currently determining the type of weapon used in the strike.

As a result of the attack, facilities belonging to local agricultural enterprises — including a pig farm and a cattle farm — were damaged.

“Unfortunately, the attack claimed a human life — a pig farm employee born in 1976 was killed,” Seliverstov stated.

A tractor driver born in 1986 also sustained severe head injuries. He is being transported in critical condition to the Chernihiv Regional Hospital to receive urgent medical assistance.

Authorities are currently assessing the full extent of the destruction and other consequences of the shelling.
