On 12 August, an online training session entitled “Responsible Use of Antibiotics in Commercial Livestock Production” will take place via Zoom. Participation is free of charge, offering an opportunity to receive practical guidance in a single day on new veterinary requirements, responsible antibiotic use and the prevention of bacterial diseases from leading industry experts.

The online format is particularly convenient for those who were unable to attend the regional training sessions held in different regions of Ukraine over the past few months. To participate, simply register in advance and join the training via Zoom on 12 August.

The programme is built around the issues that producers and veterinary professionals face in their daily work. Participants will learn what has changed in veterinary legislation regarding antibiotic use, how to comply with the new requirements and how to reduce the risk of antimicrobial resistance (AMR).

A separate practical session will focus on the prevention and treatment of the most common bacterial infections in pig production. Animal health experts will share their experience and practical recommendations.

The training is organised under the Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC) project, funded by the U.S. Department of State, with the participation of the Association of Ukrainian Pig Breeders.

Do not delay registration: participation is free of charge, but advance registration is required.
