Ukrainian grain exports up 25% in June

In June 2022 Ukraine exported 2.17 million tons of grain, pulses, oilseeds and their products, which is 470 thousand tons or 25% more than the previous month. This is reported by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

Export of wheat in June rose by more than 3 times to 138 thousand tons, compared to 43.5 tons, which were exported in May. At the same time, it is much less than 662 thousand tons of wheat exported from Ukraine in June 2021 at the working seaports of the country.

Ukraine shipped 26 thousand tons of barley for export, which is more than twice the volume of 11 thousand tons of this grain exported a month earlier. However, it is less than 73 thousand tons of barley that was shipped out of the country last June.

Actual corn exports increased by 54,000 tons in June compared to May to 1.01 million tons. By comparison, corn exports were 1.7 million tons in June 2021. Corn continues to dominate the export of agricultural products, its delivery in June accounts for about 47% of total exports of grains, pulses, oilseeds and products of their processing.
