Representatives of local government bodies, village and settlement heads, professionals working in the social and education sectors, civil society organisations, and other specialists who work directly with local residents are invited to participate.
During the training, participants will learn more about the causes of antimicrobial resistance, the risks associated with the improper use of antibiotics in households, and the role of communities in disseminating reliable information about responsible animal treatment. The programme will also include practical exercises, analysis of real-life situations, and training in risk communication skills.
The training is being held under the “Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control” (EpiC) project, funded by the U.S. Department of State, with the participation of the Association of Ukrainian Pig Breeders.
The next training sessions for representatives of territorial communities will take place in Uzhhorod on August 4–5. Participants will also develop practical communication tools related to the responsible use of antibiotics and efforts to combat antimicrobial resistance.
Participation in the training is free of charge, but the number of places is limited.
