On June 30, the President signed a law (Bill No. 7418) "On Amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine and Other Legislative Acts of Ukraine on the revision of certain tax exemptions." The document enters into force in its entirety on July 1. This was announced by the head of the VR Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy Danilo Getmantsev.

The law resumes the duties, excise taxes and 20% VAT on imported goods, which were canceled in March 2022. This means that from July 1, the preferential customs clearance of cars is canceled.

"Let me remind you that the law exempts electric cars from any taxes," Hetmantsev reminded.

As a result of exemption from taxation of import duty, excise tax and VAT about 13 billion UAH were not received in the budget. During this period there were imported over 119 thousand cars, and there were recorded frequent imports of premium-class cars.
