In the second half of the year, U.S. pork exports to South Korea began to recover after a slow start. However, overall shipment volumes still remained below 2024 levels by the end of the year.

According to data from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), compiled by the U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF), pork shipments to South Korea showed positive dynamics in the second half of the year. Exports increased year-on-year for six consecutive months, indicating a gradual recovery in demand for U.S. pork.

Despite this improvement, overall annual results were still lower than the previous year. Total U.S. pork exports to South Korea reached 206,600 tonnes, which is 4% less than in 2024.

In value terms, exports totaled $667.1 million, representing an 8% decline from the record level recorded in 2024.

Analysts note that despite weak results at the beginning of the year, the rebound in the second half indicates continued solid interest in U.S. pork on the Korean market.
