Average food prices in February 2023 increased by 31.5% compared to February last year. Overall, in February of this year, prices for food and soft drinks in the consumer market increased by 1.5%. Over the year, food prices rose by 31.5%.

Food prices rise 20% as war begins
In Ukraine with the beginning of the war the food prices rose by 20% due to a number of reasons. This was stated by Denis Marchuk, deputy chairman of the All-Ukrainian Association of War Agencies, during his broadcast at the Media Center Ukraine-Ukrinform on August 22.
