Ukraine and Hong Kong discussed the possibility of exporting frozen pork and pork by-products, poultry fat and processed poultry protein.

These issues were discussed during the online meeting between the Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Markiyan Dmitrasevich, Acting Head of the State Food Service of Ukraine Olga Shevchenko and representatives of the Hong Kong Food Safety Centre led by Dr. Wong Van Christen.

Markiyan Dmitrasevich thanked for providing additional questions to the questionnaire on pork exports from Ukraine to Hong Kong. He also noted that after processing by experts of the State Food and Consumer Service, the materials will be sent to the Hong Kong side for consideration.

It should be recalled that the importation of food products from Hong Kong to Ukraine can be carried out according to international certificate forms in the absence of an agreed bilateral form.

As reported, the European Union will be open to exports of Ukrainian pork for up to two years.
